Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Rai stands as a distinguished academician and administrator in the Indian legal education landscape, renowned for his profound expertise in Criminal Law and his visionary leadership. Prof. Rai's journey in law began at one of India's most prestigious institutions, Banaras Hindu University (Varanasi) , where he completed his LL.B. and LL.M. degrees. BHU, with its rich tradition of legal scholarship and intellectual rigor, provided him with a strong foundation in legal principles and jurisprudence. The training he received at this iconic institution shaped his analytical abilities and instilled in him a deep appreciation for the philosophical underpinnings of law.
Driven by a passion for research and academic excellence, he subsequently pursued his Ph.D. from Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra (formerly Agra University) . His doctoral research demonstrated his capacity for original legal inquiry and established him as a methodical scholar with a keen eye for detail.
Prof. Rai is widely recognized as a leading expert in Criminal Law, a field in which he has cultivated deep expertise over his long career.
